| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
The purpose of this amendment is to provide clarification in our current Code of Ordinances as it pertains to establishments that engage in the sale of alcoholic beverages. The proposed amendments provide congruence with current Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code, and also provide means for variance from these requirements as is permissible by Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code. No modifications to distance requirements have been made in this amendment; therefore, those regulations will remain the same.
Attached is a draft ordinance of the proposed amendments. The proposed amendments have gone through a review process with participation from the City Attorney as well as other City staff.
