Administration of the Oath-of-Office and Presentation of the Certificate-of-Election.


BACKGROUND According to Section 2.15 of the Allen City Charter, "the first meeting of each newly elected council, for induction into office, shall be held at the first regular meeting following its election … ." The General Election of the Allen City Council was held on May 1, 2021. The Allen City Council will conduct the Canvass of the Election on May 11, 2021, at which time the following candidate, having secured a majority of votes in Council Place No. 1, will be declared duly elected: Councilmember Place No. 1: Daren Meis City Secretary Shelley George will administer the Oath-of-Office to the duly elected Councilmember. Mayor Fulk will present the Certificate-of-Election to the duly elected councilmember.
