| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
Allen Event Center sustained significant hail damage to HVAC mechanical equipment on its roof in March of 2019. The HVAC repairs are in conjunction with the overall roof replacement still ongoing and nearing completion. This equipment will maintain efficient operation of the facility's HVAC system throughout the building.
City of Allen Purchasing Department went out to bid in January 2020 and received (8) responses from interested contractors. During the evaluation and selection process, it was determined ACIS, Inc., would provide the best products and service, while they also submitted the lowest bid among all applicants.

| | | | | | | | BUDGETARY IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available through the Texas Municipal League (TML) Risk Pool, and provided as a result of hail damage sustained to Allen Event Center in March, 2019.

Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with ACIS, Inc., for HVAC mechanical repairs at the Allen Event Center in the amount of $151,735.
