| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
Stephen Terrell has been a member of the Allen City Council since 1991 during which he served in the capacity of Councilmember for six years until he was appointed Mayor in 1997. Mayor Terrell has been involved in the acquisition and/or development of virtually all existing City parks including the purchase of the Exchange Parkway Community Park property and the establishment of the Exchange Parkway Recreation Center project. He is the epitome of the Allen community as exemplified in his beliefs, commitments, and contributions too numerous to count.
In recognition of Mayor Terrell's contributions to the City of Allen, the Allen City Council is asked to consider bestowing the name "Stephen G. Terrell Community Park and Recreation Center" for the Exchange Parkway Community Park and Exchange Parkway Recreation Center of the City of Allen.
