The Council Nominating Committee has recommended that the membership on the Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board be increased by two for a total membership of seven on the Board.   No other changes are being recommended with the proposed ordinance. 

As a reminder, the Board is comprised of some combination of representation from the following groups:

(1) City Council: currently serving member(s) of the Allen City Council.

(2) Lodging Sector: member(s) of management from the lodging sector in the City of Allen.

(3) Tourism Sector: member(s) of management from the tourism industry in the City of Allen.

(4) At-Large: current resident(s) of the City of Allen.

There is no budgetary impact anticipated with the adoption of this Ordinance.

Staff recommends that the City Council adopt an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3175-9-13 to provide for two additional members to the Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board.
