Bound Tree, LLC (Bound Tree) is a distributor of medical and pharmaceutical supplies. On March 1, 2013, Bound Tree bid on and was awarded a contract by the City of Cedar Hill under which Bound Tree agreed to sell medical supplies to the City of Cedar Hill. Since that time, the contract agreement has continued to be renewed between both parties on an annual basis and is valid through February 2021.

The current contracts for the purchase of medical supplies for the City of Allen were each based on a lowest bid for each line item and awarded to one vendor. In an effort to expedite the procurement process while pursuing competitive costs for these items, staff recommends the city enter into an interlocal cooperation agreement with the City of Cedar Hill and along with several other cities to secure prices provided by a single, competitive vendor - Bound Tree.

The funding for the annual contract will come from the Fire Department Operating Budget.

Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute the purchase of emergency medical service supplies from Bound Tree Medical, LLC through an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the City of Cedar Hill in the annual amount of $140,000.
