| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
At the September 25, 2018 meeting, the City Council approved an amendment to the Planned Development to allow the Allen Event Center to install two outdoor marquee signs. This signage placement will enhance Event Center identification, branding and guest communication. The Daktronics agreement for Outdoor Electronic Message Marquees uses a Buy Board Competitive Contract. This allows for the continued use of Daktronics software for operating the Event Center equipment, which is the current audio visual equipment and software installed within the facility.
This agreement does not include project utility infrastructure work, necessary utility work will follow City of Allen competitive purchasing guidelines. If possible, staff will complete some of the utility work in-house.
