| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
In the FY2018 budget, The Courses at Watters
Creek has an established budget for the lease of golf course maintenance
equipment. The two existing equipment leases for the fleet of golf course mowers and maintenance equipment will expire March 28,
2018 and July 1, 2018, respectively. The new lease reflects the
replacement, with trade-in, of most of the fleet, along with a select few changes or additions to the equipment fleet. Select pieces of equipment not designated for trade will
continue to be used on the golf course or used for parts to maintain the
remainder of the fleet. The new equipment is on a 60-month lease term.

The annual impact of the equipment leases is $157,905. This is a planned expense in the golf course FY18 operating budget.

Staff recommends authorizing the City Manager to
execute a five-year lease agreement with Government Capital Corporation through
BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing and National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) in the annual lease amount of $157,905 for Golf Course Maintenance Equipment at The
Courses at Watters Creek.
