Administration of the Oath-of-Office and Presentation of the Certificate-of-Election.

BACKGROUND

According to Section 2.15 of the Allen City Charter, "the first meeting of each newly elected council, for induction into office, shall be held at the first regular meeting following its election … ."

 

The General Election of the Allen City Council was held on May 5, 2018. The Allen City Council conducted the Canvass of the Election on May 15, 2018, at which time the following were declared duly elected:

 

Councilmember, Place No. 1:  Kurt Kizer

Councilmember, Place No. 5:  Gary Caplinger 

 

City Secretary Shelley George will administer the Oath-of-Office to the duly elected Councilmembers and Mayor Terrell will present the Certificates-of-Election.
