The property is generally located west of Chelsea Boulevard and south of the Ridgeview Drive right-of-way. The properties to the north (across the Ridgeview Drive right-of-way) are zoned Planned Development No. 92 Corridor Commercial and Community Facilities. The properties to the west are zoned Community Facilities and Planned Development No. 92 Single-Family Residential R-3. To the south, the properties are zoned Planned Development No. 92 Single-Family Residential R-3, R-5, and R-7. To the east (across Chelsea Boulevard), the property is zoned Agriculture Open Space and Planned Development No. 128 Corridor Commercial.
In June 2017, the City Council adopted Planned Development No. 130 for Single-Family Residential "R-5" and "R-6" for a new residential community named Ridgeview Crossing. Several elevations were adopted with the Planned Development. The applicant is now requesting to amend the approved elevations by adding additional elevations in this PD Amendment. The additional elevations would provide greater diversity of the single-family products offered within the subdivision.
On December 19, 2017, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the request.
