| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
Reed Park East is located at the
corner of Allen Heights Dr. and Rivercrest Blvd. The park was originally built
in 1999. The tennis court has endured a full lifetime of use and is due for
resurfacing to better serve its users. Due to the park's age, we will be
upgrading most of the amenities and adding new ones to improve the park's use.
The
construction plans are for a turnkey project that includes resurfacing of the
tennis courts, a new fence, shade structure, retaining wall, new walkways, site
furnishings, and trail along Allen Heights Drive.
The Purchasing Division received three (3) qualified responses and recommends awarding the bid to the lowest and most qualified bidder,
Wall Enterprises, who submitted a bid for this project for a total of $352,435. Staff anticipates completion of this project in March of 2018.

Funding for the improvements to Reed Park East are included in the Parks CIP and are comprised of a combination of CDC Funds and Park Dedication Fees.
