Administration of the Oath-of-Office and Presentation of the Certificate-of-Election.

BACKGROUND

According to Section 2.15 of the Allen City Charter, "the first meeting of each newly elected council, for induction into office, shall be held at the first regular meeting following its election … ."

The Runoff Election for the purpose of electing the Councilmember for Place No. 2 was held on June 10, 2017. The Allen City Council conducted the Canvass of the Election on June 20, 2017, at which time the following were declared duly elected:

Council, Place No. 2:  Carl Clemencich

City Secretary Shelley George will administer the Oath-of-Office to the duly elected Councilmember and Mayor Terrell will present the Certificate-of-Election.
