| | | | | | | | | PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: | On April 28, 2015, Council adopted a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Allen and Collin County for Alma Drive Widening.
On July 14, 2015, Council authorized the City Manager to execute a Professional Service Contract with BW2 Engineers, Inc. in the amount of $344,490 for Design of the Alma Drive Widening Project and establish an initial project budget in the amount of $430,000.
On April 12, 2016, Council awarded bid and authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with Jim Bowman Construction Company, L.P. in the amount of $443,786.10 for Improvements to the Alma Drive and Exchange Parkway Intersection and establish a project budget in the amount of $500,000. |

| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
The intersection of Alma Drive and Exchange Parkway was recently improved with additional turn lanes. This contract is for landscaping improvements in the median of Alma Drive from 700 feet south of Exchange Parkway to 400 feet north of Exchange Parkway through the newly reconstructed area.
On September 7, 2016, a total of four (4) bids were received for this landscaping project. The three lowest bids are below:
